What a moment of great joy and celebration, a birthday is for a family, birthday boy/girl and their friends and relatives who live in a society together? After all, man is a social animal. He/she cannot live without society. Because, they share their happiness and sorrow with the fellow members in the society. Thus arises the importance of celebrating someone's birthday, along with others. In a family, members feel happy to celebrate their kid's birthday; invite their friends and neighbors and throw a party. Some may choose to celebrate within themselves. In workplaces/offices, everyone tries to celebrate or at least wish 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY' to the employer/boss or to the employees/staff members. It depends on person to person, organization to organization or institution to institution, as to the way they feel like celebrating a birthday.


 Some celebrate with cake cutting ceremonies, whereas others simply  prefer to wish verbally or through written messeges.

                   KARTIK PURNIMA According to Hindu calendar, it falls around one month after Sharad Purnima or (Kumar Purnima as itwell known in Odisha) and almost fifteen days after Deepavali.
