How, when and why to congratulate?


                  CONGRATULATIONS


Normally, living in a community or leading a social life would cover several occasions/functions, such as marriage function, child birth, winning a race, students getting good ranks/results, someone getting a good job, big promotions, so on and so forth. 
In these occasions, we should together feel happy about the new role or achievements someone has got. We should congratulate them either verbally or through written messages /posts.

For your convenience, the following are for reference:

Kartik Purnima କାର୍ତ୍ତିକ ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିମା /ରାସ ପୁର୍ଣିମା/ବୋଇତ ବନ୍ଦାଣ/ଡଙ୍ଗା ଭସା

                   KARTIK PURNIMA According to Hindu calendar, it falls around one month after Sharad Purnima or (Kumar Purnima as itwell known in Odisha) and almost fifteen days after Deepavali. It is the fifteenth day of the bright fortnight of the Kartik month. Kartik Purnima is a festival celebrated in different ways/styles/beliefs by the Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. There are different names for this also, such as Tripuri Purnima, Tripurari Purnima, Deva-Diwali or Deva-Deepavali, Guruparab or Guru Nanak Jayanti, as different communities celebrate this occasion according to their own beliefs, customs and traditions. But they all consider this day,  the fifteenth lunar day of Kartik,very auspicious.
